We are thrilled to announce this year’s CyberRace, a collaboration between the McLaren Racing Team and Cisco.
It’s a unique opportunity for your students to acquire job-ready cybersecurity skills and for your Academy to gain the opportunity to represent your country at a European Cybersecurity Competition! And the winning team will have the chance to visit the McLaren Racing Team’s backstage during the Hungarian Grand Prix!
Participate in this year’s CyberRace Learn-a-Thon by creating one or any combinations of the following courses on NetAcad.com in Endpoint Security, Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to IoT and Digital Transformation, Networking Basics, Network Devices and Initial Configuration, Network Defense or Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Career Path Exam. The top three Academies from each country will have the honor of representing their nation at the upcoming European Cybersecurity Capture the Flag Final!
Additionally, the top 20 academies in the competition will receive prizes and students will have the chance to learn Cybersecurity through the McLaren Racing Team’s Cybersecurity solutions in Formula1 racing. The Final will be divided in two stages: The Sprint and the Grand Final, all based on the Capture the Flag format.

The cost to join the Learn-a-Thon is free.
When you teach cybersecurity, you provide your students with valuable skills companies continually seek from professionals that can protect and defend an organization’s network. Entry-level job roles include Cybersecurity Technician, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Tier 1 Support Desk.
Introductory
Cisco European CyberRace Prize Kit will be awarded to the Top 20 academies. Totals are based on the number of student participants, student completions and Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Career Path badge enrolled in the qualified Learn-A-Thon courses on www.netacad.com that were registered for the competition. For participants that registered multiple qualifying classes, we will calculate the total sum of all qualified activities in all registered classes. Only one prize per academy will be awarded.
The overall winning team of CyberRace 2024 will be awarded a visit to the Hungarian Grand Prix and an exclusive tour of the McLaren Racing Team’s backstage! Teams placing 2nd and 3rd will also have the exciting opportunity to join a virtual event to meet the people behind McLaren technologies.
The Learn-A-Thon is open to NetAcad Academies in the European Union, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, Moldova, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia or Faroe Islands who can host the event over a six-week period virtually or on campus.
The top three academies for each country competing in the European CyberRace Learn-a-Thon will have the honor of representing their nation at the upcoming European Cybersecurity Capture the Flag Final. Academies will each select four students to participate in the Final and compete to become a European Cybersecurity Champion!
The Final will be divided in two stages: The Sprint and the Grand Final, all based on the Capture the Flag format.
