Participate in the Skills for All Learn-A-Thon in Networking Basics to prepare students for a successful and lucrative career in technology. Academies can be part of the change and help fill the global skills shortage to build the technology workforce of tomorrow. Upskilling students is easy, low in cost and only takes three weeks through this Learn-A-Thon campaign.

The Introduction to Networking Basics on skillsforall.com

Technology is changing the way we live and work, and people with IT and networking skills are in short supply worldwide. This is your opportunity to construct your own path in IT and it starts by learning with Networking Academy.

Start learning the basics of computer networking and discover how networks operate with this Networking Basics Learn-A-Thon.

This event runs from January 23 – February 10, 2023 and will help you prepare for a career in networking, build knowledge, and gain a badge as you work towards an industry-recognized certification.

This course covers the foundation of networking and network devices, media, and protocols. Observe data flowing through a network and configure devices to connect to networks. Finally, learn how to use different network applications and protocols to accomplish networking tasks.

Incentives for students to join the Learn-A-Thon

Award

Students who participate in the Learn-A-Thon and pass the Networking Basics course exam with a 70% or above on the first attempt will be awarded a Cisco Networking Basics digital badge.

 

Students who participate in the Learn-A-Thon will receive a Cisco Learn-A-Thon experience digital badge.

A Cisco digital badge is an emblem distinguishing an achievement that can be shared and validated digitally on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Xing, via Email, shared link; embed code into web page or blog.

After the Learn-A-Thon, we encourage students to continue on their Networking journey by taking the Network Devices and Initial Configuration course as a next step.

How Academies Join the Learn-A-Thon

Host a 3-week event at your educational institute.

Assign a dedicated instructor to manage the Learn-A-Thon that will read the terms and conditions and set up the course.

Dedicated instructor to set up a self-paced Networking Basics Course page on skillsforall.com using the required naming convention as stated in the terms and conditions.

Dedicated instructor to complete registration form to sign up its academy and class to participate in the Learn-A-Thon.

Dedicated instructor to enroll students/share link to the self-paced Networking Basics Course on skillsforall.com.

Allocates an on-site lab facility with internet connection, if applicable. Encourage students to complete course and earn a digital badge.

All students who complete and pass the Networking Basics Course will earn a digital badge to share on social media platforms.

Have the highest number of student participants and you’ll be in the running to win some great prizes.

The Learn-A-Thon is open to Cisco Networking Academies across U.S. and Canada who are able to host the event over a three-week period remotely or on campus.
